Indigenous Criminal Court Worker

The Indigenous Criminal Court Worker’s primary responsibility is to assist in reducing the over-representation of Indigenous people involved in the Canadian justice system to better understand their rights, options and responsibilities when appearing before the courts. The Indigenous Criminal Court Worker will collaborate with the client in the development of a plan of care directed towards addressing the root causes which brought them before the courts. Frequent and consistent follow up with the client will be required to support the client to complete their plan of care.
