Brand Ambassador – CKPR Summer of Fun Crew / Rock Roadies

Dougall Media, Thunder Bay’s only locally owned broadcast/multimedia company, has an exciting part-time opportunity to work 91-5 CKPR and Rock 94, as a Brand Ambassador.

Brand Ambassadors are an essential branding component for 91-5 CKPR and Rock 94. Brand Ambassadors are a reliable group of individuals who have specific interests in promotions, have strong people skills, and can easily approach strangers to strike up a conversation. The ideal Brand Ambassador is outgoing, enjoys a fun working environment, loves talking to people, and can work well in a team. Brand Ambassadors are called upon to represent 91-5 CKPR and the CKPR Summer of Fun Crew, and Rock 94 as the Rock Roadies, at different events around the city of Thunder Bay.

Responsibilities include:

Represent, and execute station appearances on the street, at events, concerts, festivals, client locations, etc.
Perform on-location broadcast reports.
Comply with uniform standards.
Arrive on time and ready to work with a positive attitude.
Set up and break down of station event equipment, i.e. tables, tents, booths, banners, etc.
Follow directions and supervision from the Manager of Marketing & Promotions, the Promotions and Social Media Coordinator, and the Events Coordinator.
Communicate effectively with listeners, potential clients, sponsors, and anyone who approaches you with inquiries. Understand the mission of every event and execute with professionalism.
Reach out to and engage with listeners and create a memorable experience and a positive image of the station you are representing. Be approachable and comfortable talking to strangers.

Requirements for this position:

Must have a G license and a reliable vehicle to get to events.
People-oriented, friendly, respectful, and responsible individual with the ability to adjust to different environments and situations, be proactive and helpful.
Must be able to lift/carry/set-up minimum 50lb equipment on your own.
Must have a flexible schedule and be available weekends/evenings/holidays.
Reliable & Punctual.
Outgoing & Organized.
Problem Solver.
