Weiler Maloney Nelson is one of Northwestern Ontario’s largest and most prominent law firms. Our well-established and community-minded law firm currently has openings in both our Wills & Estates and Litigation departments. The two (2) positions are full time, permanent and open to persons with or without prior experience working in a law office. Some customer service experience or office administration experience is preferred. Responsibilities and Duties
- Communicating with clients, courts, and other professionals via telephone, email, fax or in-person
- Working closely with lawyers and other legal assistants to move files forward
- Document management including keeping digital and paper files current and organized
- Timely file maintenance including opening and closing files; assisting with monthly billing and associated correspondence
- Drafting of basic correspondence, and proofreading correspondence drafted by others
- Basic drafting of court documents and preparation of final versions of materials and reports including binding, scanning etc.

Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary certificate and/or diploma in Office or Business Administration, Legal Administration, Administrative Services or a related field (preferred)
- Office Administration or Customer Service experience (preferred)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
- Possess a high standard of integrity, ethics, judgment, discretion and confidentiality
- Technological proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office suite; Ability to quickly adapt and learn to use programs/software
- Positive attitude and desire for continuous learning and development
The successful candidates will be compensated commensurate with their level of experience. Our comprehensive compensation and benefits package for full time employees includes:
- A competitive salary (starting at $40,000-$47,500 annually commensurate with relevant experience)
