The Multi-Purpose/Database Clerk assists the Post-secondary counselling team with various tasks. The ideal candidate must be proficient in all applications of Microsoft Office.  This position will involve a large amount of filing. The Multi-purpose/Database Clerk must be flexible to adapt to varying responsibilities, students and staff. This position will report to the Head Post Secondary Counsellor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A post-secondary diploma in office administration or equivalent experience
  2. Excellent organizational skills
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  4. Able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  5. Ability to multi-task proficiently during peak periods
  6. Ability to prioritize daily tasks
  7. A sensitivity to and understanding of First Nations culture, lifestyles and traditions; fluency in Oji­ Cree, Ojibwe or Cree preferred but not required

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. General office duties such as filing (maintaining all program documents current and archived), photocopying, etc.
  2. Assist Counsellors with travel for students
  3. Prepare and maintain student distribution lists
  4. Work in database as required
  5. Develop and foster positive relationships with students and staff.
  6. Order, deliver and/or purchase supplies as required.
  7. Ensure purchase orders and expense records are submitted accurately and on a timely basis.
  8. Assist staff/students in completing the Education Assistance Application Forms
  9. Prepare and maintain student files (current and archived).
  10. Assisting students with printing and photocopying
  11. Maintaining student computer room.
  12. Input data into the government reports
  13. Other related duties as assigned.

SALARY:           Based on Education and Experience
