Job Summary:
The Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA) invites applications for the role of Niibin Oshkaatis Anohkiiwin in our Anishinaabewaadiziwin Department. This opportunity is ideal for high school and college students with knowledge of First Nations culture and an interest in working with the cultural healing and wellness team.

Qualifications:
•Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference (OHRC, Part II, Special Employment).
•Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects in the Sioux Lookout Zone is an asset.
•Currently enrolled in high school or college.
•A strong interest in Indigenous culture, particularly Anishinaabe traditions.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
•Eagerness to learn and contribute to community initiatives.
•Ability to complete the duties of the position on a regular basis

Roles and Responsibilities:
•Assist in organizing and implementing cultural programs and events.
•Support the department with research and data collection on cultural practices.
•Help with the preparation of educational materials and presentations.
•Engage with community members and assist in outreach activities.
•Support, assist and planning community healing and wellness events.
•Other duties as assigned
