Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Clinic Receptionist at our hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinic. The Clinic Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, managing front-desk operations, and providing administrative support to the healthcare team. This position is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, a passion for patient care and problem solving.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and a welcoming demeanor.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing clinic calendars effectively.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Register patients, verify insurance information, and collect necessary documentation.
- Process payments and provide receipts for services rendered.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the clinic’s electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and faxing documents.
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Monitor and order office supplies as needed to support daily clinic operations.
- Adhere to privacy and confidentiality regulations, ensuring compliance with healthcare policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in administration or healthcare-related fields is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality.
- A positive and team-oriented attitude, with a commitment to exceptional patient care.
Experience:
Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Medical office administration: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: Thunder Bay, ON
