Outreach Coordinator

Length of Contract: June 1st, 2025 – March 31, 2026
Position Overview:
Marathon Public Library is seeking a dynamic and passionate Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This exciting contract role offers an opportunity to lead and coordinate outreach initiatives, develop educational programs, and engage with diverse populations. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated individual who is committed to making a positive impact in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and deliver community outreach programs to promote library services and resources
- Develop and execute events, including workshops, literacy programs, and technology demonstrations
- Build partnerships with local schools, community groups, and Indigenous organizations
- Engage with community members to increase awareness of library programs and services
- Create promotional materials for outreach campaigns (flyers, social media etc.)
- Track and report on the success of outreach programs through data collection and feedback analysis
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to increase library membership and participation
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education
- Experience in community outreach, program coordination, or event planning
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Proficiency in digital literacy tools and social media platforms
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Indigenous community engagement (asset)
- A valid driver’s license is preferred for travel within the community
