Role Title: Web Designer

Reports to: Creative Director

Compensation: Negotiable Annual Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000, based on experience and qualifications. Enhanced Health and Dental Benefits, Paid Vacation.
Work Structure: Permanent, Full-time, On-Site, One-year contract with opportunities for a permanent role and advancement.

About the Role: Join our talented Creative and Design team at Ingaged Creative Productions Inc., where you’ll work within a collaborative, fast-paced, and community-oriented atmosphere. In this role, you’ll help us support our clients in achieving their goals while positively impacting the community and region. We’re looking for someone with a long-term vision to learn and grow alongside us as we expand into new areas and support new initiatives.

You will be part of a large, dynamic team, working on unique, concurrent, and often challenging projects, with plenty of opportunities to contribute and grow. You will be reassured and confident in your role, knowing you will be supported while offering your support and insights to others on the team and in different departments.

Success in this role requires a strong communicator who is punctual, adaptable, and patient. As you interact with clients and external stakeholders, client-facing experience or a background in front-of-house roles will be valuable. You’ll have opportunities to work with various software, and improve internal operation, and be empowered and influential by helping us shape our processes as we evolve and expand.

Note: Remote Work Not Available. Due to the collaborative nature of our Creative and Design team, a remote web design position is not available at this time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop responsive websites, landing pages, advanced user portals, and microsites.
  • Implement custom animations and interactive elements using Webflow.
    Collaborate on UX/UI strategies and contribute to improvements on existing websites.
  • Manage updates, maintenance, and enhancements for client websites and event portals.
  • Ensure websites meet web accessibility standards (WCAG) for inclusivity.
    Work with clients to interpret and execute requested changes accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency across all web projects.

Role Title: Web Designer (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop responsive websites, landing pages, advanced user portals, and microsites.
  • Implement custom animations and interactive elements using Webflow.
    Collaborate on UX/UI strategies and contribute to improvements on existing websites.
  • Manage updates, maintenance, and enhancements for client websites and event portals.
  • Ensure websites meet web accessibility standards (WCAG) for inclusivity.
    Work with clients to interpret and execute requested changes accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency across all web projects.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain web design projects using Webflow or similarly advanced platforms.
  • Build responsive web layouts and optimize websites for mobile devices and various screen sizes.
  • Implement and maintain custom animations and interactions using Webflow’s advanced features.
  • Track and report website performance using Google Analytics and to provide insights to improve UX/UI.
  • Work within HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to customize and enhance website functionality.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and enact design changes efficiently.
  • Ensure all web content follows WCAG and SEO best practices.
  • Maintain database structures in line with industry standards and best practices.

Web Design and Development:

  • Design and develop responsive websites, landing pages, advanced user portals, and microsites.
  • Build and implement custom animations and interactive elements using Webflow or similar platforms.
  • Ensure the highest standards in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design for both new websites and updates to existing ones.
  • Create optimized, mobile-friendly web designs using responsive design principles to ensure a consistent experience across devices.
  • Regularly perform website updates and client maintenance, ensuring functionality and visual integrity.

Client Support and Service Delivery:

  • Work closely with clients to interpret design briefs, accurately implement requested changes and provide high-quality, timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members, including the Design Lead, to ensure projects are delivered according to client specifications.
  • Maintain high client communication standards, offering ongoing support and helping foster long-term relationships.
  • Act as the main point of contact for web design-related inquiries and troubleshooting.

Technical Integration and Analytics:

  • Implement and manage Google Analytics, generating reports on website performance and identifying opportunities for UX/UI improvements.
  • Integrate websites with CMS tools (e.g., Webflow) to ensure clients can easily update content.
  • Ensure web accessibility standards (WCAG) are met for inclusivity and adherence to best practices.
  • Work with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance website functionality, creating custom web elements when necessary.
  • Manage database structures, ensuring best practices in web storage and data security.

Additional Duties:

  • Stay updated with the latest webdesign trends and tools.
  • Be adaptable and prepared to meet varying needs as projects demand.
  • Actively prepare for and participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned, reflecting the dynamic nature of our work environment.
  • Punctuality, Preparation, Accountability and Initiative are crucial to success in this role, within our team and company.
  • The ability to speak an Indigenous or second Language is considered an asset.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Portfolio submission showcasing expertise in responsive web design, user-centric design, and interactive web elements.
  • 3+ years of professional web design experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Webflow, or a similarly advanced platform (e.g., not Wix/Squarespace).
  • Proven experience in Google Analytics, including setting up and interpreting reports for website performance.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for developing custom web elements.
  • Knowledge of database structures and best practices, with the ability to implement and manage databases for web projects.
  • Ability to apply responsive design principles to ensure optimal performance across different devices and browsers.
  • Attention to detail in implementing design changes and maintaining consistency.
  • Strong time management skills and efficiency in meeting deadlines without supervision.
  • A good-natured attitude toward constructive feedback and collaboration.
  • Proven ability to balance high-quality design with client requirements in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in managing CMS within Webflow, including custom CMS configurations for client websites.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure inclusive web design practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a collaborative team.
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools or database design is an advantage.
  • Ability to implement and track SEO best practices for optimizing website performance.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel) for managing documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com) to coordinate and track deliverables, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining efficiency and high standards under tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, independent worker who collaborates effectively with teams to deliver cohesive results.
  • Attention to detail and a determination to deliver high-quality, error-free work that meets client and internal standards.
  • Valid G driver’s license with appropriate automobile insurance and a clean driving record.
  • A good-natured and adaptable communicator who is responsive to feedback and can work independently or as part of a team.

Compensation Package:

  • Negotiable Annual Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunity for performance-based bonuses ranging from 5-10% of annual salary, based on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as project delivery timelines, client satisfaction, and web traffic improvements.

Work hours: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for project deadlines.
