Casual Instructors – First Response, EMR and Wilderness First Aid

POSITION SUMMARY
The Independent First Nations Alliance is looking to hire Casual Instructors for
various Emergency-Health related courses, such as First Response, Emergency
Medical Responders (EMR) and Wilderness First Aid.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead First Response courses for community members, or IFNA staff
• Facilitate learning activities during the courses
• Create materials for the courses
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent level of written and verbal communication
• Ability to speak and write fluent English
Requirements:
• Vary depending on the role/course being taught
• Driver’s license is required, along with a clear driver’s abstract
o Minimum DZ/FZ, with willingness to complete CZ
• Successful candidates must provide a clear criminal check, with vulnerable sector search
• Must be willing to complete attestation of COVID-19 vaccination as part of the role
Assets
• Candidates who identify as Indigenous, First Nations or Metis are strongly encouraged to apply
• Ability to speak Ojibwe or Oji-cree would be beneficial
