Our End of the Roll Thunder Bay location seeks a dedicated Floor Covering Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring, prepping, and installing new flooring in residential homes and businesses.
Career Opportunity: Floor Covering Installer
Where: Thunder Bay, ON
Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (overtime as required)
When: Weekdays and weekends

What you will be doing
- Liaison with flooring advisors and/or store manager regarding installations.
- Pick up and deliver products to specified locations.
- Estimate and measure the flooring surface for materials needed to complete the job.
- Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
- Remove old flooring and furniture as required.
- Prepare flooring surface for installation.
- Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to the floor.
- Install new floors, and bases, and apply floor finishes as needed.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise throughout the installation and repair as needed.
- Report any deficiencies to the Store Manager.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Attend training on products as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we need from you
- High School diploma or GED.
- A minimum of two years experience in the flooring industry.
- Must be able to install sheet vinyl, carpet, and hard surfaces.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Must be able to lift/carry an excess of 50lbs and occasionally lift an excess of 100lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to measure and use basic mathematical skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
