What are we looking for?
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent, required
- Post-secondary qualifications in By-law Enforcement, or similar
- Knowledge of the Provincial Offences Act
- Valid Class G License, required
- Acceptable Driver’s Abstract
- Ontario Association of Property Standards Officer course
- Comfortable with animals
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Willing to work in all weather
What will you be doing?
- Enforce the Municipal Animal Control By-law
- Maintenance and care at the animal control facility
- Parking By-law Enforcement at boat launches and in community
- Property Standards Enforcement
- Dealing with members of the public in all circumstances
- Attendance at hearings as necessary
- Data entry and report writing
Hours and Salary
- 40 hours per week at $33.14 per hour
- 2 positions available
- 4 days per week 10 hours per day
