Position Title: Financial Education Consultant
Location: Remote with travel to First Nation communities.
Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Through educational workshops, one-on-one consultations, and community engagement, we are committed to providing culturally relevant financial literacy resources tailored to the unique needs of these communities.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate First Nation or Métis individual with service and sales experience who is interested in joining our team as a Financial Education Consultant. In this role, you will deliver financial education services to First Nation and Métis communities, helping individuals and organizations make informed decisions about managing finances, investments, and achieving financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver culturally relevant financial literacy workshops and training sessions for community members, leaders, and organizations.
  • Provide one-on-one financial education consultations to individuals seeking guidance on personal finances, budgeting, saving, and investing.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and residents to understand their unique financial challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and leaders to create customized financial programs that address local needs and priorities.
  • Promote financial products and services that align with the values and needs of First Nation communities.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends, policies, and financial products relevant to First Nation communities.
  • Document progress and report on outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed to meet community goals.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of First Nation cultures, traditions, and the specific financial challenges and opportunities faced by these communities.
  • Previous experience in service, sales, or financial education, with a proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts in an accessible, engaging manner.
  • Ability to work independently and travel to remote communities as required.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to present financial topics clearly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial products, budgeting, investing, and general financial literacy.
