EXECUTIVE COORDINATOR

Full Time- Permanent

The Biidaaban Healing lodge is a 12-bed residential treatment program located on Biigtigong Nishnaabeg formerly known as Pie River First Nation, which isapproximately 25 kilometers from Marathon, ON. We are mandated to provide quality treatment to all Aboriginal and Metis people residing in the Robinson Superior area. We provide treatment for unresolved trauma stemming fromsexual abuse, family violence, adult children of trauma, griefand abandonment and anger solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Working asa team member within the Healing lodge and In conjunction with the First Nation communities in the area and under the direction of the Executive Director, the Executive Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Administer payroll, benefits accurately and in accordance with thepolicy.
  • Process all accounts payable/receivable and requestions on a weekly basis.
  • Prepares and budgets all Biidaaban Healing Lodge’s expenditures and administers the organization’s financial resources in accordance with the approved budget and financial policy.
  • Responsible for facility maintenance and capital requirements of the organization.
  • Work in conjunction with auditors to ensure compliance in respect to financial reports and
  • Complete an annual work plan consisting of goals, objectives, actions, budgets and financial plan of the organization
  • Ensure adequate funding to achieve Biidaaban Healing lodges strategic objective
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director in planning, organizing, facilitating and preparing all the logistics for Board meetings.
  • Prepare a yearly report to the Board of Directors regarding financial matters and updates on the progress towards the strategic plan.
  • Manages staff in compliance with human resources policies, procedures and practices including hiring, orientation, training/development,performance evaluations, and disciplinary

Qualifications:

A college degree in Finance or Administrationor related field of study with three to five years office experience (A combination of education and work experience willbe considered.) We are willing to provide trainingto the right candidate

Experience working with First Nation’s individuals, families and communities, and a working knowledge of healing and recovery from a Native perspective.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication skills, a working knowledge of computer programs such as Sage SO, word, excel, publisher, power point and outlook to develop pamphlets, posters and other promotional items.

Anunderstanding of the issues that impact First Nation communities and the Anishinaabek way of life Salary: $66.809.28
