The Opportunity
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our remote operations at Musselwhite Mine. This role serves as the primary Human Resources representative on site and plays a key role in supporting employees, supervisors, and operational leaders across a wide range of human resources functions.
You will be responsible for employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, attendance and disability management, workforce planning, and HR compliance. This is a hands-on operational HR role in a fast-paced remote camp environment where strong judgment, professionalism, and relationship-building skills are essential.
Located at Musselwhite Mine, this position operates on a rotational schedule. Depending on operational requirements and the successful candidate’s location, the schedule may be a 4-days-on/3-days-off schedule or a week-on/week-off rotation. Transportation, accommodations, and meals are provided while on site, as applicable.
What You’ll Do
Act as the primary HR contact for employees and supervisors at site
Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
Provide guidance on performance management and corrective action processes
Manage attendance, leave, WSIB, and disability management cases
Coordinate accommodation and return-to-work plans
Partner with leaders on workforce planning and staffing needs
Support recruitment activities and selection processes
Provide coaching to supervisors on HR practices and leadership issues
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies
Analyze workforce trends and support HR reporting and recommendations
Support Indigenous employment and community engagement initiatives
Promote a safe, respectful, and positive workplace culture
What We’re Looking For
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field
CHRP designation or working toward designation considered an asset
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist capacity
Strong experience in employee relations, investigations, and disability management
Experience in mining, industrial, remote camp, or hospitality environments is preferred
Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism
Strong communication, conflict resolution, and coaching skills
Ability to work independently in a remote operational environment
Experience supporting Indigenous workforce initiatives is an asset
