Experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic (Trailer Specialist)
We are seeking a high-level Technician to join our team, with a specific emphasis on trailer repair and maintenance. This role is critical for maintaining fleet safety and mentoring the next generation of mechanics.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repair: Perform thorough diagnostics, service, and high-quality repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including bush equipment.
Safety Inspections: Conduct regular maintenance and safety inspections to meet provincial regulatory standards and company safety policies.
System Overhauls: Overhaul equipment and test/adjust systems to manufacturer performance specifications.
Mentorship: Act as a technical mentor to shop labourers and apprentices in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Operational Collaboration: Work closely with the Shop Manager to improve shop efficiencies and training programs.
Requirements
Certification: Red Seal or Truck and Coach Technician (310T/310J) preferred.
Documentation: Ability to complete accurate logs and work orders using platforms like Shop Monkey.
Asset: Valid Class 1/AZ license for road testing units. and/or Chip trailer experience will be considered in compensation.

Competitive Wages: Licensed Mechanics starting range from $35-$45/hr based on experience; Apprentices from $22-$28/hr; Labourers from $18-$23/hr.
