Shop Labourer (Willing to Train)

Responsibilities (Training Path)
Mechanical Support: Assist Licensed Mechanics on major repairs, following detailed directions to learn specialized techniques.
Preventative Maintenance: Learn to perform oil changes, lubrications, and basic preventative maintenance on fleet units.
Shop Stewardship: Maintain a clean and safe workspace, including tool maintenance, equipment washing, and waste management.
Digital Integration: Use the Shop Monkey app on tablets to track work time, documentation, and follow assigned work orders.
Fleet Readiness: Monitor tire conditions and assist in preparing new equipment for fleet deployment.
Requirements
Documentation: Ability to complete accurate logs and work orders using platforms like Shop Monkey.
Certification: To qualify for specifically an apprenticeship position, Skilled Trades Ontario requires proof of education.
Asset: Chip trailer experience will be considered in compensation.

Competitive Wages: Licensed Mechanics starting range from $35-$45/hr based on experience; Apprentices from $22-$28/hr; Labourers from $18-$23/hr.
