We are hiring a Skilled Labourer to support our modular construction in Pikangikum, Ontario.
ModBox NWO Inc. is a modular construction company based in Northwestern Ontario. We build modular structures for residential, commercial, workforce, and community-based projects, with work that supports both local and remote job sites. Our team takes pride in quality work and doing the job right for our clients.
This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, physically capable, and willing to help wherever needed. The Labourer plays an important support role by helping keep the shop and yard clean and organized, assisting with general shop tasks, running materials and equipment between the yard and job sites, and supporting the carpenter and joining in carpentry work.
The schedule will be 21 days on, 7 days off, with room and board paid by the company.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the jobsite
- Assist with general labour and helper duties around the shop as required
- Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and equipment between suppliers and job sites
- Support crews with basic tasks to keep work moving efficiently
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment
- Work as a skilled labourer doing basic carpentry work at the direction of the Supervisor and Foreman
- An understanding and hands on work with framing and finishing is a strong asset
Job requirements
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Reliable and punctual
- Willing to take direction and help with a variety of tasks
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Able to work in a physically active role
