Position Summary:
The Supervisor is responsible for clinical supervision and support to assigned staff, as well as the management of the assigned Program(s). Program Management includes program development and review, monitoring of budget allocations, and public consultation. The Supervisor ensures that all assigned programs are delivered in accordance with legislative requirements, Ministry standards, and Agency policies and procedures.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to supervise & direct staff, while providing leadership in the Agency’s programming.
- Ability to manage programs while working collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff, as well as take corrective action as necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Excellent and thorough documentation and organizational skills.
- Sound clinical knowledge and knowledge of relevant legislative and ministry standards.

- An awareness of First Nations issues, including knowledge of the communities, family structure, customs and traditions is an asset.
Qualifications:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field is preferred with five (5) years of experience in a Child Welfare setting. Bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours.
- Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License and have access to a reliable vehicle with an OPCF6A Insurance endorsement and minimum of $1,000,000 Liability insurance.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check, internal records check, and Driver’s Abstract.
