Positions Available: 1 – Permanent Full Time
Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Health & Wellness Manager(s), the Adult Life Enrichment (ALE) Coordinator plans, coordinates, and delivers engaging educational, recreational, and wellness activities that enrich the lives of older adult participants. This role builds strong community partnerships, organizes on‑ and off‑site programming, and ensures all offerings are inclusive, person‑centered, and aligned to participant interests and goals. The ALE Coordinator also manages required surveys and documentation to support program quality and compliance, in alignment with the Agency’s Vision, Mission and Core Values.
Salary Range: $71,403.45 To $83,110.78 Annually
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy, Social or Community Services, Gerontology, Education, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Certification such as Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Positive Approach to Care (PAC), Registered Therapeutic Recreation Ontario (R/TRO) or an equivalent credential considered an asset.
- Experience coordinating adult programming in community services, senior services, disability services, recreation, education, or a related environment.
- Experience building collaborative relationships with participants, caregivers, colleagues, community partners, and Elders.
- Experience managing event or program logistics (e.g., transportation, room setup, materials, scheduling).
- Knowledge of primary health care systems and primary care models a must.
- Candidates without the specific education qualifications, but who possess an appropriate combination of child welfare experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Search;
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as determined by the Program Manager or Director of Health and Wellness in relation to service requirements;
- Must possess a Class “G” Driver’s Licence and have access to a personal vehicle.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
