Pipe Layer – Sewer & Water

Hours of Work: Full-Time (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM), frequent work outside of these hours should be expected.

Wage: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour based on experience

Position Overview:

Titan Contractors is seeking experienced and motivated Pipe Layers (Sewer & Water) to join our heavy civil construction team. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in high-quality underground infrastructure work and have strong attention to grade, alignment, and safety. The Pipe Layer works closely with foremen, operators, and crew members to ensure sewer and water systems are installed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Install sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain pipe according to project specifications and drawings.

·         Set and maintain proper line and grade using laser levels, transits, and grade stakes.

·         Prepare trench bottoms, bedding material, and pipe foundations.

·         Lay, align, and join pipe including PVC, HDPE, concrete, and ductile iron.

·         Install manholes, catch basins, valves, hydrants, and related appurtenances.

·         Ensure proper backfill and compaction procedures are followed.

·         Work safely in and around open excavations and heavy equipment.

·         Communicate clearly with equipment operators and site supervisors (Foreman).

·         Follow all company safety policies and provincial regulations.

·         Participate in toolbox talks and hazard assessments.

·         Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.

Qualifications:

·         Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sewer and watermain installation (preferred).

·         Experience working with lasers, grades, and civil drawings.

·         Strong understanding of trench safety and shoring requirements.

·         Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

·         Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.

·         Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Valid Ontario G Licence (DZ considered an asset).
