1.0 FTE EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, FORT FRANCES OR DRYDEN BOARD OFFICE

The Northwest Catholic District School Board is a system committed to Catholic Education. The Board serves the communities of Dryden, Fort Frances, Sioux Lookout, Atikokan and Stratton in Northwestern Ontario. The Board operates five (5) elementary schools, serving a total of approximately 1300 students.

The Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Secretary of the Board provides high level executive, governance and administrative support to the CEO and Board of Trustees. This role coordinates the CEO’s Office operations, supports Board governance processes and maintains the integrity and confidentiality of Board records and communications. Serving as a key liaison among the CEO, Trustees, senior administration, external partners and the public, the Executive Assistant exercises strong discretion and professionalism while managing sensitive information, anticipating needs and supporting the CEO in fulfilling leadership, governance and communication responsibilities.

Qualifications/Requirements:
·        Post secondary education in office administration, business administration, communications or a related field is preferred.

·        Minimum five (5) years of progressive administrative experience, preferable in a complex public sector or education environment.

·        Demonstrated experience supporting senior administration and/or governance bodies.

·        Advances proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration tools; experience with Canva and social media platforms is an asset.

·        Exceptional communication, organizational and problem solving skills.

·        Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.

·        High level of discretion, professionalism and attention to detail.

·        Knowledge of Board governance processes, the Education Act and related legislation is considered an asset.

·        Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

·        Ability to work independently, anticipate needs and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.

Salary/Benefits:
·        $76,126 to $83,800 (dependent upon experience and qualifications)

·        We also offer a comprehensive and generous benefit package, including personal leave, vacation and enrollment into the OMERS Pension Plan.
