Job Summary:
The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and landscape maintenance, with experience in garden care and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves maintaining the aesthetic and health of our interior courtyard gardens and exterior landscape and gardens, ensuring that all plant life is nurtured and thriving.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of irrigation techniques and systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to recognize plant species and their specific care needs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks.
• Ability to work independently
• Must be physically able to perform duties of the position as assigned
• Flexible work schedule
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
Job Duties:
• Perform regular maintenance of gardens, including planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
• Monitor plant health and identify any signs of disease or pest issues, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to design and maintain attractive garden layouts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of gardening tools and equipment.
