Description
The Clinical Information Clerk role involves efficiently managing various tasks to support the smooth operation of the Rehabilitation department. Responsibilities include answering calls, processing referrals, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. Additionally, you will be the face of the department which involves welcoming patients, screening and assisting those attending the department, and ensuring accurate information collection.
The role has many administrative duties including processing discharged outpatient charts, providing support services for clinical delivery, adhering to safety protocols, managing office functions such as mail distribution and equipment records, and maintaining financial records through billing reconciliation and statistical reporting. This multifaceted position plays a crucial role in promoting organizational efficiency and assists in the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Qualifications
– Demonstrated knowledge of computers and relevant software programs
– Knowledge of CPI and recertification an asset
– CPR certificate an asset
– Medical terminology certificate
– Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
– Ability to work in a team environment
– Ability to organize and prioritize work with time constraints
– Experience in an office environment an asset
– Reliable attendance record
– Must participate in required cultural competence training and demonstrate appropriate cultural competence
– Proven typing skills of 30 words per minute (tested)
