With its main administration office in Dryden and other office locations and ambulance bases across the District, the Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) is the integrated service delivery agency dedicated to improving everyday lives through early learning and care, housing, paramedic, and social services.
We are currently seeking to hire an Information Systems Analyst to join our Administration team. The location is open to the district. Our employees enjoy a healthy work environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, the Information Systems Analyst will provide technical expertise and information systems support, analyze and enhance information system processes to improve the efficiency and utilization of technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with department leads to deploy new information systems
- Assisting in the design and execution of implementation plans
- Conducting research and gaining proficiency in new systems
- Developing system usage guidelines and best practices
- Providing regular project status updates to stakeholders
- Evaluating departmental technology usage and identifying opportunities for automation and improvement
- Staying informed about system updates and enhancements
- Recommending, implementing, and training users on new features and improvements
- Assessing training needs in collaboration with departments
- Creating and delivering technical training materials and sessions for end users
- Supporting the maintenance of IT documentation, including system configurations, inventory, and processes
- Assisting in drafting IT policies and procedures
- Monitoring and reporting on system performance and usage
- Resolving technical issues and implementing system audits, logging, and monitoring
- Keeping the Manager of I.T. Services informed of relevant issues and updates
- Collaborating with department leads and third-party service providers to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues
Successful candidates will have:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed administrative, organizational, analytical decision-making and report-writing skills to lead the deployment of IT projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 application development, including experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Ability to work with multiple priorities and deadlines independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with an ERP system such as Microsoft Business Central.
- Experience in analyzing operational requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
- Proven proficiency in utilizing a wide variety of technology solutions (hardware and/or software).
- IT project management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain effective relationships with management, staff and third-party providers.
Qualifications will include:
- Requires a post-secondary diploma/degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized educational institution.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the operation of information systems.
- Experience developing and delivering training content.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and Power Platform
- Strong knowledge of system architecture and IT infrastructure.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license (or equivalent).
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
Along with an excellent benefits package and participation in the OMERS pension plan, we offer a salary ranging from $77,152.86 – $88,534.68 per annum.
