Job Summary
The Area Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing operations within designated areas, ensuring that teams meet performance goals and adhere to company standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, a focus on process improvement and the ability to drive business development initiatives. The Area Supervisor will be responsible for managing projects, enhancing sales strategies and fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of employees to achieve operational excellence and meet performance metrics.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to enhance revenue growth within the area.
- Oversee business development efforts, identifying new opportunities for expansion and improvement.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a positive team culture through effective communication, motivation, and support.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in the janitorial, facilities management or related service industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning practices, equipment and health & safety standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple sites and teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive client and employee relationships.
- Experience in scheduling, budgeting and managing operational costs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business-related software; comfortable with digital tools for reporting and communication.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within assigned region.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as operational needs require.
- Ability to lead by example with a hands-on approach and a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
