Nomad & Pinetree Catering are hiring a full-time baker to work at their kitchen facility 20 minutes outside of Thunder Bay.
Location: Employer has kitchen built on property , 20 minutes outside of Thunder Bay
Hours: Full Time
Starting Wage: $23-$27/hour (based on experience)
Job Description:

Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders

Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays

Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies

Bake mixed dough and batters
-
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

Prepare special orders
-
Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
-
Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
-
Draw up production schedules
-
Train staff
-
Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards

Inspect kitchen and food service areas
-
Operate machinery
-
Organize and maintain inventory
-
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
-
Experience in large scale production, business makes for example 800 loaves of bread and buns a week in house
Important Information:

drivers license and own vehicle
-
must be living in Thunder Bay or surrounding areas or be able to relocate to the Thunder Bay area.
