Job Description:
SRL Contracting is seeking a skilled and talented individual to fill it’s Project Manager position. The ideal candidate will need to be able to fulfill the role that is a key member of the leadership team and will have experience in construction estimating, possess strong analytical skills, and be detail oriented.

Positions Details:

• Position: Project Manager
• Location: 361 Hodder Avenue, Thunder Bay, ON P7A 1J1
• Salary: $85,000 to $105,000, plus bonus
• Additional Pay: Bonus pay & Commission pay
• Work Type: In-person
• Job Type: Full-Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead residential and commercial construction projects from startup to completion.
• Provide detailed quotes for types of construction projects
• Work directly with the President to lead and grow the company.
• Utilize software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other tools for accurate construction estimating
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Develop detailed proposals outlining project scope, timeline, and pricing
• Monitor industry trends to ensure cost estimate are competitive and up to date

Qualifications:

• Three to five years in the construction industry
• Experience in construction estimating
• Supervisory experience would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency of software tools like HeavyBid and Bluebeam
• Strong negotiation skills
• Knowledge of project management principles
• Ability to accurately price construction projects based on specifications
• Excellent communication as well as interpersonal skills
• Valid drivers license
