Linecutters

We are looking for motivated and physically fit linecutters to join our field crew on a project west of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Work involves cutting and clearing survey lines through bush and rough terrain ahead of a geophysical crew. Accommodations are provided on-site.
Responsibilities
– Cut and clear survey lines through bush using chainsaws
– Flag and picket lines to grid specifications as cutting progresses
– Work safely and efficiently as part of a small field crew
– Maintain saws and cutting equipment in safe working order
– Assist with general equipment and site duties as required
What We’re Looking For
– Must be physically fit and comfortable working long days in rough, uneven terrain
– Chainsaw experience is a strong asset; chainsaw safety certification and ATV operating experience are also assets
– Experience working in remote bush environments (line cutting, forestry, exploration, geology fieldwork, or similar) is a strong asset
– Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
– Comfortable with remote on-site camp living
Compensation
Pay depends on experience. On-site accommodations are provided by the company.
