Job Summary

Position: Airport Security Guard

Location: Sioux Lookout Airport – Sioux Lookout

Position Type & Rotation: Full-Time / 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (Days)

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Monday–Saturday); 7-hour shifts (Sunday). Overtime may be required in the event of flight delays

Wage: $25.00 per hour

Number of Open Positions: 3

Projected Start Date: June 1, 2026

Target Candidates: Local applicants only (Sioux Lookout and surrounding area)

·         Security Guard Training (40-hour course) – We cover the cost for the training to obtain your Ontario Security Guard License (if not already licensed)

Position Summary

The Airport Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at Sioux Lookout Airport. This role requires strong observation skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

·         Monitor airport property, restricted areas, and public spaces

·         Conduct access control and security patrols

·         Respond to incidents, emergencies, and spill situations

·         Complete detailed occurrence and incident reports

·         Communicate clearly with airport staff, airline personnel, and the public

·         Assist with emergency response procedures

·         Enforce airport policies and safety regulations

·         Utilize MS Office for documentation and reporting

Mandatory Requirements

·         Must be 18 years of age or older

·         Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

·         Valid Ontario Security Guard License

·         Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Certification

·         Clean Criminal Record

·         Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

Assets (Preferred but Not Required)

·         Spill Response Training

·         Previous airport or aviation security experience

Work Environment

·         Indoor and outdoor work environments

·         Shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays

·         Physically active role
