SUPERVISOR JOB POSTING FOR WILLIAM W. CREIGHTON YOUTH SERVICES
Position Status
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our team and lead intensive services in a specialized Out-of-Home Care program for young women impacted by sexual exploitation, as well as female-inclusive youth ages 12 to emerging adults. You’ll be part of a collaborative leadership team that values professional growth, shared responsibility, and wellness in the workplace.  This is a full-time, in-person role located in Kenora, Ontario
This role ensures effective day-to-day operations and empowers staff to take ownership of their work with youth in ways that align with the agency’s mission and strategic priorities. The Supervisor will provide ongoing guidance, promote staff development, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment where both staff and youth can thrive. Hours of work will reflect the needs of the youth involved in the program, which may occasionally include evenings and weekends.
Knowledge and Skills Required
·        Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and health & safety standards, applied through a trauma-responsive lens.
·        Understands and is able to implement a harm reduction model for this specialized population.
·        Demonstrated experience supporting equity-deserving youth populations, including but not limited to sexually exploited young women, 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, Indigenous and racialized youth.
·        Skilled in guiding and developing staff through individual and group supervision that promotes growth, confidence, and wellness.
·        Experience in client interventions (both individual and group), with a focus on safety, empowerment, and dignity.
·        Effective communicator who brings sound judgment and decision-making while also modeling collaboration and empathy.
·        Ability to negotiate and partner both within the agency and with external resources to ensure strong wraparound supports for youth.
·        Committed to building a supportive workplace culture that balances accountability with care for staff well-being.
·        Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
·        Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
·        Clear Broad Records Check.
·        Successful completion of Crisis Intervention certification.
Qualifications
·        Post-secondary degree or diploma in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, Indigenous Studies, or a related human services field.
·        Minimum 3–5 years of experience in residential care, child welfare, community support, or related fields.
·        Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in team-based settings.
·        Specialized training or certifications in trauma-informed care, sexual exploitation, or related areas considered an asset.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $72,000 – $84,000 annually
(equivalent to $34.54 – $40.40 per hour)
