POSITION: Court Clerk – Administration
DURATION: 1 temporary full-time position (9-months)
PAY SCALE: $64,737.76 – $74,671.34

The Court Clerk – Administration is responsible and accountable to the Court & Digital Evidence Management Supervisor for the efficient and timely performance of the assigned duties and responsibilities. Specific responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for preparing and submitting court information’s, subpoenas and other legal documents to the court using eIntake.
 - Responsible for timely collection, preparation and disclosure of prosecution files relating to Federal, Criminal, Provincial and Bylaw offences.
 - Process court orders, warrants, summons and other legal documents in accordance with established procedures.
 - Ensure disclosure files are submitted to the appropriate agency ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and policy using the required program(s) within the required disclosure timelines.
 - Assists Crown’s office with the transfer of charges.
 - Respond to inquiries and liaise with the judiciary and various agencies including the Ministry of Attorney General, Ministry of the Solicitor General, Public Prosecution of Canada, Municipal Prosecutor to verify and/or obtain information.
 - Receive legal documents, confirm information is accurate and distribute to required departments.
 - Identifies and prepares required court documents for service on witnesses and accused persons and forwards for endorsement and service.
 - Monitor multiple tasks lists and action occurrences that require processing within disclosure timelines.
 - Monitor and manage court related emails and action items, including Crown requests for additional information, surety inquiries, processing of Probation and Parole files, trial preparation, and addressing daily operational issues and concerns.
 - Ability to use relevant computer software applications to retrieve confidential police information. i.e. Niche Records Management System, Scope, ICON, etc.
 - Provide general administrative support to officers, crown partners and outside agencies.
 - All other duties as assigned within the core competencies.
