Project Manager
Reports To: President
Summary
Thunder Bay Hydraulics is seeking a Project Manager to assist with the undertaking of a multi-year project aimed to modernize the business to better service the domestic market which is being supported through the FedNor Regional Tariff Response Initiative [“RTRI”]. The project manager will be responsible for ensuring the success of the work scope as defined in the working agreement with FedNor. Key objectives of this project include the following:
· Productivity enhancements to workflows and processes to support lean manufacturing
· Automation and CNC expansion to reduce costing inputs
· Development of domestic Canadian market
· Quarterly reporting including KPI’s to FedNor
This role will coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders, manages resources, mitigates project related risks and ensures project objectives are achieved. This full-time position is partially funded by FedNor, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario.

Job Duties
· Lead and support the procurement and installation of new manufacturing equipment
· Coordinate and support modernization efforts for the shop environment
· Develop and implement process intended to improve workflow optimization
· Coordinate workforce training plans
· Support in the development of domestic market strategies
· Assist with development of tradeshow materials and marketing initiatives
· Engagement with domestic distributors and partners
· Ensure all regulatory compliance for the domestic market
· Prepare quarterly progress reports for internal teams and external funders
· Create and maintain tracking of KPI’s directly related to the project
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field
· Proven experience and execution in managing projects from initiation to completion
· Strong understanding of project management methodologies
· Excellent organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills
· Strong written and verbal communication
· Proficiency with project management tools
· Experience with contracts and change order management
