Ahgwahbuush Memorial School
Ahgwahbuush Memorial School is a northern Ontario fly in community, where Oji Cree is commonly used in both, classroom and the everyday work environment.
Our students (school population of 170) come to school with little English. They graduate from Grade 8, fluent in their home language and English.
We currently have positions open for a Grade 8 and a Grade 5 teacher, preferably with OCT qualifications. We offer a salary that is competitive with provincial schools, in addition, we offer an isolation allowance of 9,000 to 15, 000.00 (depending upon marital status).
Our apartments (furnished with a minimal rent), school and nursing station are modern. All of which have been recently built in the last 10 years.
We will pay for your transportation in and out as, well as a paid trip at Christmas.
