We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and their families to provide therapeutic support, implement treatment plans, and promote positive behavioral changes. Your expertise will be essential in fostering a safe and nurturing environment that encourages growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to understand the behavioral needs of each child.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and data collection for ongoing evaluation.
  • Gather and prepare teaching materials.
  • Stay informed about the latest research in behavioral therapy and apply relevant findings to practice.
  • Educate families about behavioral strategies and interventions to reinforce therapy goals at home.
  • Travel may be required for this position; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening)
  • English proficiency

Experience

  • A background in special education or experience working with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong data collection and case management skills are essential for success in this role.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in Applied Behaviour Analysis is expected.

Diploma or a University degree in a related field
