Salary Range: $58,000 – $68,000 per year (commensurate with experience and education)

Term: Permanent, Full-time

Job Summary:
The Training Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that SkyCare’s flight operations team maintains the highest levels of safety, compliance, and professional development. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of pilot training—initial, recurrent, and ground school—while maintaining meticulous training records and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards.
Working closely with the Chief Pilot, Quality Assurance Coordinator, and Operations leadership, the Training Coordinator acts as the central point of contact for scheduling, records management, and training logistics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a structured yet fast-paced aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Schedule, track, and coordinate all pilot training activities, including initial, recurrent, and ground school sessions.
Manage instructor schedules and ensure compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and company standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date training files, certificates, and documentation for all flight crew.
Assist with documentation for pilot performance evaluations and career progression planning.
Develop and update training matrices, checklists, and digital tracking systems.
Liaise with external training providers, simulators, and regulatory agencies as needed.
Support the onboarding and orientation of new flight crew members.
Assist in organizing and documenting safety and compliance training sessions company wide.
Conduct periodic audits of training files and maintain quality assurance standards.
Ensure all training programs align with Transport Canada and internal SMS (Safety Management System) requirements.
Support the Quality Assurance Coordinator in tracking training completion, compliance issues, and corrective actions.
Provide administrative support to the Operations Department as required.
Assist in data entry, report generation, and internal communication updates.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Human Resources, Aviation Management, or related discipline considered an asset.
Previous aviation industry experience and familiarity with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) are strong assets.
Demonstrated commitment to Safety, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital record-keeping systems (experience with aviation software an asset).
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Positive, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
