Position Summary
The Oral Health Services Summer Intern provides administrative and operational support to the Oral Health team while gaining hands-on exposure to community oral health programs and services. This role assists with daily office functions, supply and inventory management, and outreach initiatives, while contributing to team meetings, events, and collaborative projects.
Qualifications
·        Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference (OHRC, Part II, Special Employment).
·        Grade 12 completion with enrollment in post-secondary education is preferable or currently enrolled in high school.
·        Ability to work Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm, with flexibility of hours
·        Previous office administration experience is considered an asset
·        Experience in the use of email, internet and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database systems.
·        Must have good written and verbal communication skills
·        Experience working in a fast-paced office setting
·        Good problem-solving skills, organizational and time management skills
·        Understanding of and ability in maintaining confidentiality
·        Ability to communicate via telephone and in person in a First Nations dialect an asset.
·        Those with dental experience are encouraged to apply
·        The ability to perform the duties of the position on a regular basis.
