We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant who values discretion, professionalism, and community as much as we do.
Position Overview
The Pharmacy Assistant will support the pharmacist and pharmacy manager in the day-to-day operations of the dispensary, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and patient care. This role is ideal for someone who is mature, reliable, and interested in building a long-term career in pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
● Accurately enter prescriptions and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision
● Provide excellent customer service in a confidential, respectful manner
● Manage inventory, stock shelves, and process orders
● Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and handling patient records securely
● Be flexible and willing to take on new roles and responsibilities as needed
● Cross-train in some supermarket tasks for additional versatility
● Contribute to a positive team environment and patient experience
Qualifications
● Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required
● Postsecondary education (college or university) is a strong asset
● Background in healthcare, medical office, or pharmacy setting is a strong asset
● Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
● Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism, especially in a small-town setting
● A willingness to learn, grow, and potentially pursue licensing as a Pharmacy Technician (education subsidy available)
Compensation & Benefits
● Competitive starting wage of $18–$30/hour (based on experience and skills)
