Job Position Overview:
Northern Peak HR, a Human Resources Consulting Firm established in 2022, is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators for one of its clients in Thunder Bay, ON. We provide a broad range of HR services to various sectors throughout Northwestern Ontario, including Recruitment and Selection, Health & Safety, Labour Relations, Training and Development, and Organizational Development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment in a forestry setting safely and efficiently.
• Handle equipment in various terrains and situations, ensuring operational safety.
• Communicate effectively using radio and other communication devices to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain, clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Complete all required documentation, including pre-use inspection checklists.

Required Qualifications:

• Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator in a forestry setting, demonstrating skill and safety.
• Certified Equipment Operator (MHEO) would be considered an asset.
• Valid G driver’s license is required.
• Must be reliable and punctual, ensuring consistent attendance and performance.
