Support Partner

Little George’s Child Care Centre is currently seeking a responsible, dedicated and caring individual to fill the position of Support Partner. Our Support Partner works collaboratively with the Special Needs Resources Program, our educators, and families to support the inclusion of special needs children in our child care program. Support is provided for a range of needs, including developmental, physical, social, emotional and behavioural. This position would work 6.5 hours per day subject to program requirements/attendance, and the rate of pay is $22.41 per hour.

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Hold a Community Services Diploma with focus on supporting the social and emotional well-being of vulnerable populations;
Early Childhood Education;
Child & Youth Worker;
Developmental Services Worker, or other.

Have demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the principles of inclusion.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creativity with good problem-solving skills.
A passion for working with children.
A willingness and ability to work as an effective team-member.
Previous experience working with children with special needs is an asset.
Able to provide a police record check; vulnerable sector screening.
Completed Standard First Aid with level C CPR training.
