Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

Little George’s Child Care Centre is currently seeking a responsible, caring and energetic individual to join our team of dedicated professionals to fill a full-time contract working 35 hours per week. The rate of pay ranges from $25.86 to $28.00 per hour.

Little George’s Child Care Centre strives to provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing home-like environment for children and their families. We facilitate and promote positive outcomes for children’s learning, development, health and well-being and work in partnership with families to ensure the best outcome and learning experience for their children.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about creating a safe and inclusive environment for children, who will encourage socialization, enhance learning, and who have strong programming skills in a play-based, emergent environment.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education and registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE); or,
Diploma or degree in child and youth care, recreation and leisure services, or a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) will be considered where applicable.

Skills/ Abilities:

Have excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
Strong interpersonal skills
Willing to work as an effective team-member
Enthusiastic and creative
Can provide a current Police Vulnerable Sector Screening
Have up-to-date immunizations
Certified in Standard First Aid with Level C CPR (current or willing to obtain)
