Dallan LP is a partnership between Lac Des Mille Lac First Nation, Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation and Dale Levesque a member of the Fort William First Nation. Dallan LP is a 100% Aboriginal-owned business that provides industrial yard services which include a variety of heavy equipment operations, maintenance and general labour.
Dallan LP currently has four separate contracts/ operations in Northwestern Ontario. Dallan LP is committed to the needs of its customers while ensuring the Health & Safety of all its employees and Environmental compliance.
LICENSED & APPRENTICE –MECHANICS
LOCATION –ATIKOKAN, ONTARIO
POSITION – Full-Time Permanent SCHEDULE – 40-48 hours per week COMPENSATION – Pension and Benefits
SALARY:
New Apprentice – $30.24 – $31.06 Per hour
Apprentice 1 (Complete Basic or Power Automotive Techniques Course) – $34.27 – $35.20 Per hour
Apprentice 2 (Completed Intermediate) – $36.29 – $37.27 Per hour Apprentice 3 (Completed Advanced) – $38.30 – $39.34 Per hour Licensed Mechanic – $40.32 – $41.41 Per hour
Annual Increases.
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Operations Supervisor:
The mechanic will be responsible for providing mechanical services for the operation by maintaining and/or repairing all pieces of equipment including but not limited to front-end loaders, dump trucks, tractor trailers, forklifts and log loaders. Duties will include scheduling regular maintenance on each piece of equipment, troubleshooting problems and coordinating repairs or replacement of non-working parts.
The ideal candidate will have previous working experience with heavy equipment, trucks and tractor trailers, one year of post-secondary education in a related field, capable of meeting the physical demands of the position and must have a valid driver’s license.
