Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy duty equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks
  • Inspect equipment and complete service reports
  • Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, braking systems, and hydraulic systems
  •  Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
  • Communicate repair needs and timelines with supervisor
  • Operate equipment when needed.
  • Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls as required.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal License
  •  Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. AZ/DZ License an asset.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation including the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to deal with changing priorities daily and multitask.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed.
  • Must be able to perform physical work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends.
  • Travel to off site locations may be required.
  • Willingness to work overtime or shifts as required
