Program Assistant

Fixed term, 14-months (35 hours/week) Salary range ($19.29 – $21.91/hour)

George Jeffrey Children’s Centre (GJCC) is a paediatric health facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario providing occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech-language pathology, social work, recreation, and behaviour support services to children and youth with physical, communication and developmental needs. George Jeffrey Children’s Centre is seeking a program assistant to work as part of our collaborative multi-disciplinary team. The program assistant will provide general program support to a team of rehabilitation therapists including; assistance with creating materials and resources, purchasing of supplies, organizing and sanitizing toys and other resources and administrative support.

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
• Completion of a secondary school diploma
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Energetic and personable
• Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and access to a personal vehicle
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
