Geologist Logistics Manager

Pay: $350/day

We manage all aspects of mineral exploration programs from data compilation and project design through all levels of implementation and management. We are currently looking for a Geologist Logistics Manager to join our growing team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collection and interpretation of geological data from exploration programs, including diamond drilling, field mapping, surface sampling, and re-logging
• Supervise, train and prepare geologists and geotechnicians for remote jobs
• Organize and mobilize groups of employees and equipment to and from remote job locations
• Drill core logging, field mapping
• Ensuring best practices for logging, sampling, and database management are followed
• Contribute to the evaluation and interpretation of detailed- to regional-scale geology to identify and prioritize exploration opportunities
• Review and prepare data for submission
• Contribute to exploration work programs and exploration planning
• Work in close collaboration with contractors and any other persons placed under their responsibility
• All other tasks related to an exploration program

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Science
• Experience working in the outdoors and a strong base in remote work logistics
• Understanding of geological settings, deposit models, and ore-forming processes as it pertains to the latest concepts of gold deposit environments
• Experience in field mapping and logging of diamond drill core an asset
• A demonstrated commitment to safety, environment, and community
• Self-motivated and able to perform and communicate effectively with coworkers and clients
• Experience with Leapfrog, ArcGIS or QGIS considered an asset
