About the Role:

We are seeking an (Online) Maintenance Planners to support maintenance planning for mining operations. This role focuses on online planning, SAP PM data accuracy, and building efficient maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Planner Type:

(Online) Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner: supports mineral processing facilities and fixed plant assets.

(Online) Mobile Maintenance Planner: supports heavy mobile equipment and mining fleet maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance:
• (Online) Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner: crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, mills, flotation, dewatering systems.
• (Online) Mobile Maintenance Planner: trucks, shovels, drills, loaders, support equipment, and mobile fleet assets.
• Review work requests and create detailed job plans and job packages (BOMs, SOPs, safety requirements, special tools).
• Maintain and update SAP PM Work Orders, Master Data, PM Task Lists, and Corrective Task Lists.
• Coordinate with parts, procurement, and warehouse teams to confirm material availability and long-lead items.
• Track backlog, PM compliance, parts availability, long-lead items, and work execution progress.
• Support maintenance KPIs, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and reliability teams through virtual meetings.
• Assist Senior Maintenance Planner with:
• Review existing FL and equipment structure.
• Identify duplicates, erroneous data, inconsistencies, and gaps requiring remediation.
• Recommend hierarchy standards, naming conventions, and consolidation of duplicates.
• Facilitate Teams meetings/workshops with Maintenance, Electrical, Planning, and Operations.
• Provide guidance and input to address gaps, missing information, and problematic areas.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance planning experience (natural resources / mining industry preferred).
• Proficient in SAP (PM Work Orders, Master Data, Task Lists).
• Able to build and maintain PM and corrective task lists.
• Microsoft Excel Expert; high level Pivot tables, formulas, coding, and reports.
• Ability to read technical drawings and OEM documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable working fully online.
• Role-specific equipment knowledge:
• Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner: fixed plant equipment maintenance and processing circuits.
• Mobile Maintenance Planner: heavy mobile equipment maintenance.

Preferred:

• Experience in creating Purchase Requisitions and working with procurement.
• Familiarity with shutdown/turnaround planning and critical path scheduling.
• Mining industry experience:
• Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner: surface or underground processing plants.
• Mobile Maintenance Planner: surface or underground mobile equipment.
• Ontario Mining Common Core Certification:
• Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner: Mill / Process.
• Mobile Maintenance Planner: Mobile / Mining.
• Background as Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, Electrician, or Engineering/Technology.
• Power BI – Expert user.
• Cross-experience is an asset:
• Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner: Heavy Mobile Equipment planning experience.
• Mobile Maintenance Planner: Fixed Plant planning experience.

Contract Details

• 6+ month contract, flexible hours.
• Planning work is done entirely online.
