Jordan’s Principle Navigator – Intake and Referral

Couchiching First Nation is seeking a dedicated full-time Jordan’s Principle Navigator (Intake and Referral) to serve as the first point of contact for children and families seeking support under Jordan’s Principle. This role focuses on assessing eligibility, processing applications, and connecting families with appropriate services. The Navigator ensures families are well-informed about available resources and receive timely assistance in navigating the application process.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in social work, child and youth care, or related field
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and families
- Experience in client advocacy
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and interviewing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Knowledge of community resources
- Knowledge of intake and referral processes in a social services setting
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
