Commercial Route Delivery Representative

Job description:

Thunder Bay Broom & Chemicals is a locally owned & trusted supplier serving businesses and essential public services across Thunder Bay. We are seeking a reliable, safety conscious and physically capable Commercial Route Delivery Representative to join our team long term.

This role is responsible for priority deliveries to commercial, institutional and municipal clients alongside regular scheduled business routes. These deliveries support essential day to day operations across the community and require a high level of professionalism, consistency and accountability.

This is a very physically active position, suited for someone who takes pride in dependable work, values routine and wants stable weekday hours with a company that invests in its people.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the company 16 ft cube truck and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Work safely and effectively in all seasons, including Winter Conditions
• Complete regular schedules route deliveries with the ability to efficiently manage your time
• Perform repetitive heavy lifting as required, up to 30kg, ensuring that all items are delivered in good condition.
• Deliver products to customers within Thunder Bay and surrounding communities.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspection to ensure safety
• Perform once a week cleaning of the truck.
• Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and manage time effectively

Qualifications

• Someone who is physically capable of active work throughout the day
• Valid G Drivers Licence & Ability to pass Driver’s Abstract
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Dependability, punctuality & comfortability working independently
• Communication skills, Consistency & Reliability
