Indigenous Cultural Practitioner

The Indigenous Cultural Practitioner provides culturally grounded support, guidance, education, and connection to Indigenous clients, families, and community members accessing services through the Mary Berglund Community Health Centre Hub in Ignace, Dryden Family Health Team in Dryden and the Points North Family Health Team in Vermillion Bay. Travel between communities will be a requirement of this position.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Indigenous cultural knowledge and a strong connection to Indigenous culture and community.
Demonstrated experience providing Indigenous cultural support, traditional teachings, community-based support, or culturally grounded programming.
Knowledge of Indigenous traditions, cultures, histories, contemporary experiences, and approaches to holistic health and wellness.
Experience working with Indigenous individuals, families, communities, or organizations.
Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous cultural safety and its application within healthcare.
