JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Outpatient Services Manager, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship to the Community Counselling team.

The Clinical Supervisor supports high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based clinical services by guiding staff in clinical practice, case conceptualization, and professional development. The role maintains an active clinical caseload while ensuring that services align with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, applicable legislation, organizational policies, and recognized best practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Registered and in good standing with a professional regulatory body (e.g., Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers)

·         Demonstrated understanding and application of the OCSWSSW Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, including principles of competence, integrity, professional boundaries, and client-centered care

·         Commitment to maintaining continuing competence as required by the College, including participation in ongoing professional development and reflective practice

·         Minimum 5 years’ experience working within Outpatient Counselling or a similar clinical setting

·         Demonstrated strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

·         Education, or willingness to pursue education, in clinical supervision; experience as a supervisor and/or supervisee is an asset

·         Knowledge of clinical supervision models, including reflective supervision, trauma-informed supervision, and strengths-based approaches

·         Experience working with complex client needs (e.g., mental health, trauma, crisis intervention)
