FIREFLY is seeking a regular full time Rehabilitation Assistant. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to work alongside clinicians to help children and youth participate in therapy programs that support their development and well-being.

FIREFLY is a multi-service, non-profit organization committed to strengthening the health and well-being of children, youth, and families. We provide community-based, mental health, and developmental services across Northwestern Ontario in partnership with families, schools, child care centres, and community organizations.
About the Role
As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work closely with clinicians to support therapy programming for preschool and school-aged children. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will:
Assist clinicians in conducting discipline-specific screenings
Support the delivery of therapy programs for children and youth
Assist in the organization and delivery of summer therapy camps in Kenora, Dryden, and Sioux Lookout
Provide program support, including informal documentation and report writing
Prepare resources and promotional materials to support programming
Perform other duties as required to support clinical services
This role requires flexibility, including travel across the service region and occasional evening and weekend work.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
Diploma in Health Sciences or a related field
Experience working with children who have a variety of developmental needs
Knowledge of, or experience in, child development
Experience working with children and families/caregivers from diverse cultural backgrounds
Skills & Competencies
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated professionalism, emotional intelligence, and alignment with FIREFLY’s values.
